Hey there, I’m Michele. a retired accountant and soccer lover!
I hate cooking and the kitchen. But I am determined to make the kitchen a friend and start cooking healthy!
I am not a good cook. I have spent years avoiding having to cook. Second, I hate eating alone. Sitting down to eat by myself is a challenge. That is one of the real reasons that I started this blog. To find a way to start loving to cook, and, enjoying it.
i’m excited that you’re here!
My Goal…
My main goal for this blog is for you to hold me accountable. My health is my number one goal, with learning to cook being my second most important goal.

I am completely inept in the kitchen.
Determination will overcome!
I have never failed at anything I set my mind to. I may not finish on top of the trees but I do complete or learn what I set my mind to do. Come along on my culinary adventure!

Are you up for some laughs? I guarantee at least a few in the coming months.
I have begun an adventure that I have never wanted to commence. However, my health demands that I make this change. I will be documenting my successes and failures as I believe this will assist me in paying attention to what works and what does not. Incidentally, it should be entertaining for others, as I have discovered, to my chagrin over the years when I would recount my rare entire into the kitchen. So, let us roll with what helps me learn and brings others a smile and a laugh.
A friend gifted me a refrigerator magnet that says “I only have a kitchen because it came with the house.” My goal is to make that magnet untrue.
I want to make a chicken noodle soup that isn’t a pan of paste. I want to make a meatloaf that is not as tough as nails. That should not be too much to ask, right? I’m not aiming to tackle Beef Wellington or a rack of lamb. Just simple food that is pleasant to eat, relatively easy to prepare, and repeatable.
My Top loves include:
Soccer! I have attended two World Cups!
Knitting! My plan is to complete the Master Handknitter Certification Program.
Scrapbooking! I love taking photographs of my family and friends, composing pages, and printing books for them.
